The original Renault Zoe set the bar for high quality, compact electric hatchbacks. The earlier Zoe ZE models had a 22kWh battery pack with a real world range of between 120 km and 195 km. Newer versions of the Zoe feature bigger battery packs and longer range, but the original ZE is still great value on the used market.

Charging time for the Renault Zoe ZE is about three hours and 45 minutes from empty to full using a standard 7.4kW home charge point. This Zoe can charge as fast as one hour and 15 minutes if you have three-phase 22kW charging at home or you can access a fast public charge point. Some earlier Renault Zoe models had the option of including rapid charging - in this case, you expect an 80% recharge in about 31 minutes if you can access a 50kW DC rapid charger.
